The American South’s culinary scene has long been defined by its creativity, rich heritage, and sense of place. This week, the world took note. We couldn’t be prouder of our friends and clients recognized in the MICHELIN Guide to the American South.

To celebrate their incredible work, we’re sharing the love in a way that feels true to the spirit of hospitality. Sprouthouse has donated to a local food bank or pantry in every city where our clients earned Michelin recognition: Atlanta Community Food Bank (@acfb), Community Food Bank of Central Alabama; Second Harvest Food Bank Feeding South Louisiana; Lowcountry Food Bank (@lcfoodbank); and MANNA Food Bank (@manna_foodbank)

Food insecurity is a reality for too many, and with the ongoing government shutdown and reduced SNAP benefits, now more than ever, it’s on all of us to support our communities. Let’s continue showing up for one another.

Hot off the robata grill 🔥 Shokudô is now open in Charleston, SC.

Chef Partner Masatomo “Masa” Hamaya leads the open kitchen, serving incredible Ramen, Yakitori, Tempura, and Hand Rolls made with the freshest local ingredients. Each dish captures the communal, lively spirit of a Japanese izakaya.

Step out back to the Japanese beer garden for a lively retreat where guests can enjoy sake, craft beer, or wine among the lantern-lit greenery. It’s a space designed for conversation, connection, and savoring the flavors of Shokudô.

Now welcoming guests on Upper King, @shokudochs brings a bold new energy to the neighborhood. Congratulations to our friend @masa.hamaya on this milestone opening!
