This past week, our team has been visiting clients and eating and drinking VERY well in the Bluegrass state. We kicked things off by celebrating the Cask Strength launch at Angel’s Envy (@angelsenvy) in Louisville, the newly opened Italian-inspired concept Mileta (@miletarestaurant) in Lexington, and the new dishes, including the étouffée and oysters specials, at Louisville’s North of Bourbon (@northofbourbonky). We’re ending the week with our minds, hearts, and bellies very full, and we are thankful for the time spent with our talented clients.

We’re proud our partners take care of their communities! This year, the Southern Foodways Alliance (@southfoodways) Fall Symposium featured a restaurant advocacy panel where, along with several other powerful organizations, Steve Palmer and Mickey Bakst spread the good word about Ben’s Friends (@bensfriendshope)—an F&B industry support group for professionals struggling with substance abuse and addiction. They spoke passionately about the life-changing impacts the organization has had on members of the hospitality community. Also at the symposium, SFA shared a short film about Ben’s Friends, created by Ethan Payne (@ethanpayne). We’re thrilled to welcome @rowhouse_arch to Sprouthouse! 👋

This North Carolina-based architecture firm pursues community-focused design projects aimed at generating lasting value in the greater Asheville area–an especially important enterprise in the wake of Hurricane Helene. Rowhouse’s team are experts in historic preservation, adaptive re-use, and commercial development. Their core mission is to create affordable, middle, and senior housing that strengthens and enhances the community’s quality of life.

Most recently, @businessnorthcarolina recognized Rowhouse at its 2024 Building North Carolina Awards for two historic hotel restorations: the @theradicalhotelavl and @theflatironavl.
